ELAC Defensive Lineman Makes 2019 College Football America Junior College Starting Lineup

ELAC defensive lineman Ben Key has been named to 2019 College Football America's JUCO Preseason Starting Lineup. The 6' 4", 285-pound lineman made a name for himself nationally in 2018; in just six games, he registered four sacks, five tackles-for-loss and a fumble recovery. He consistently clogged open lanes for opponent running backs and penetrated the line of scrimmage to disrupt offensive backfields and plays.

"He’s going to be a force to be reckoned with," says head coach Bobby Godinez. "Best part about him is that he’s a great kid and a great student."

Key will be counted on to anchor the Huskies defense for the upcoming season before transferring onto Mississippi State University in the fall of 2020.

Every year, College Football America publishes a comprehensive yearbook of every college football team in America and Canada. They also publish a yearly JUCO Preseason Starting Lineup, naming the best junior college players to open the new football season.

East Los Angeles opens their 2019 season on Saturday, September 7th. They will host Cerritos College.
