After starting the 2023 season with five wins in six games and a high state ranking, the GCC Men's Soccer Team will be looking to regroup after dropping its second game of the week, 3-2 at East Los Angeles College Sept. 22.
Now 5-2-1, the Vaqs had a quick start against ELAC on a goal at the 2:07 mark of the first half by Mak Hadziosmanovic. They trailed the host Huskies 2-1 in the second half when Derik Stepanians scored his eighth goal of the year to tie the game at 2-2 in the second half at the 54:36 mark but could not overcome a late goal by ELAC for the one goal difference.
Glendale continues non-league play this week with a home game against Santa Monica Tuesday Sept, 26 at 5 pm and then play at Moorpark Sept. 29 at 4 pm.
