SAN DIEGO, CA — The East Los Angeles College men’s track and field team had four personal records at the Southern California Championship Prelims at San Diego Mesa College today.

All-American sophomore Joshua Taylor placed third in two events and is the lone Husky to advance to the SoCal Championship Finals.

For the second straight meet, Taylor had a personal record in the triple jump. His mark of 14.16 meters (46.46 feet) gives him a third-seed in finals. Taylor managed one good jump in three attempts (two fouls) in the long jump with a leap of 6.98 meters (22.90 feet), also good enough for a No. 3-seed. Taylor fouled on all three attempts in the high jump of 1.80 meters (5.91 feet).
