ELAC women's basketball tied the game with 1.4 left in the game, and pulled away in overtime to earn their first conference win. The men were able to take control in a high-scoring affair over a shorthanded but punchy Trade team en route to a 23-point victory

Sophomore G Maria Martinez nailed her second three-pointer of the game with 53 seconds left. It was a huge shot that stopped a late West LA run that almost threatened the ELAC lead within the final minute of play.

Playing a rare early December home game due to scheduling conflicts at last week's Cypress Chargers tournament, East LA women's basketball hosted Oxnard College, a team they were supposed to play at Cypress last week. The Huskies won 69-57 thanks to a huge defensive turnaround in the 2nd half.
