Volleyball gets back-to-back winning seasons

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. — The East Los Angeles College volleyball team won its season finale in a come from behind five-set thriller, 3-2 (20-25,25-18, 25-22, 16-25, 16-14), against Rio Hondo College in the South Coast Conference North Division.

The Huskies won back-to-back 13-11 winnings seasons, the second winning season in more than 25 years.

Defending North champion Pasadena City College (12-12, 6-2) won the title and will receive the conference’s automatic playoff bid. Mt. San Antonio took second place while ELAC tied Chaffey College (15-20, 4-4) for third place.

ELAC volleyball head coach Elliott Walker could not be reached for comment.
