Moving closer to the #2-ranked Santiago Canyon, the East Los Angeles College men's basketball team headlines this week's CCCMBCA state rankings update. Staying put at #3, the Huskies (22-1, 3-0) routed Pasadena City at home last Wednesday, and escaped a potential upset by pulling away from Mt. SAC late while on the road last Friday. ELAC will host the Rio Hondo Roadrunners tomorrow at 7pm, then travel into DTLA for a rematch with high-scoring guard Mark Chin and the LA Trade Tech Beavers on Friday at 7pm. Trade Tech (14-10) is only a half-game behind ELAC in the South Coast-North Conference standings (3-1).
ELAC currently has a team-record 18-game winning streak.
