ELAC Pays Tribute to Sunday's Victims Before Tip-Off

Before the start of tonight's game, East Los Angeles College honored those who perished in Sunday's helicopter crash: NBA and Laker Legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna Bryant, longtime Orange Coast College baseball coach John Altobelli, his wife Keri and daughter Alyssa, and four others. Led by Athletic Director Bobby Godinez, 24 seconds of silence was observed. At tip-off, both teams exchanged eight-second backcourt violations to conclude their tribute.

ELAC would go on to drop a physically contested game to the PCC Lancers, 86-73. Pasadena used their team overall height advantage to convert close-range shots while stymieing the Huskies' up-close on the other end. To wit: the Lancers shot over 52% from the field while ELAC only hit on over 41% of their shot attempts.

Lancers' Kristal Espinoza lead all scorers with 21 points while grabbing nine rebounds.

• Delilah Kimble-Gray lead all Huskies with 17 points and added eight rebounds. She shot 6-9 from the field.
• Citlaly Davalos scored 15 points with five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
• Maya Clark was the Huskies' top reserve, tallying 10 points and six rebounds off the bench.
