ELAC women’s volleyball defeats Cerritos in four

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. — The East Los Angeles College Huskies volleyball team won 3-1 (25-20, 25-14, 20-25, 25-16) against Cerritos College in a South Coast Conference Divisional crossover game in the South Gym.

The Huskies improve to 12-8 overall and have defeated Cerritos (5-13) for the second straight year.

The Huskies begin the second half of South Coast Conference play hosting Pasadena City College (13-8, 3-1) on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. This could be a possible championship match. The winner will be alone in first place a game ahead of two teams with three games remaining in the regular season for all conference teams.

ELAC is tied for first place with Pasadena. Chaffey College is a game behind (13-8, 2-2). Rio Hondo (6-13, 1-3) and Mt. San Antonio colleges (8-13, 1-3) are two games behind the Huskies.
