As we begin the year 2021, the South Coast Conference has taken a trip back through the first 20 years of the 21st century to identify the best team(s) of each year. East Los Angeles College have made the list four times:

  1. 2002: The Huskies men's Cross Country tied with Mt. San Antonio College's men's Track & Field for best in conference that year. The Mounties edged the Husky green for the conference title by a team score of 45-39.
  2. 2014-2015: Men's Basketball took the crown. Coach Mosley's squad beat several higher-ranked teams to finish as the runner-up to the CCCAA State Title.
  3. 2015-2016: Coach Bruce Turner's women's basketball squad tied with Mt. SAC's women's basketball that year. Both teams were the last two standing in the State playoffs that year, with the Mounties narrowly edging the Huskies 57-55 for the State Title.
  4. 2019-2020: Mosley's men dominated SCC-North conference play en route to their best season ever: 29-1, #2 ranked in the state, and was on it's way to West Hills-Lemoore to play for the State title when games were canceled due the COVID-19 outbreak.
