Only one other California JUCO football player has been signed professionally straight out of a community college: back in 2000 Alfonso Boone of Mt. SAC was drafted by the Detroit Lions. Floyd becomes the first student-athlete in the history of ELAC Athletics to sign a professional contract directly from one of our programs.

East LA scored on the first first play of the game - a kickoff return for a touchdown - and never looked back as they raced off to a 28-0 first-half lead that was never seriously threatened in the 2nd half. With the win, ELAC secured its first winning season as a member of the National Division.
Huskies Surge Ahead Late, Holds Off Citrus in Glendora

East LA College scored the first 17 points of the game, and Citrus College scored the next 28. But then the Huskies answered back with 16 straight points off two touchdown passes and a field goal. East then turned to their defense to hold onto the lead, and they did - thanks to consecutive interceptions on the final two Citrus offensive possessions.

Huskies Edge Bulldogs in Home Opener Dogfight

Huskies at one point trailed 13-3 in the third quarter before scoring 16 unanswered on Allan Hancock to take a 6-point lead at 19-13. The Bulldogs would respond by marching down the field to score a touchdown and take a20-19 lead, but ELAC answered again with a touchdown drive late and would hold on for the 25-20 win

Former Husky Lineman Returns Home to Join Coaching Staff

Former Offensive Lineman Arnulfo "Arnie" Robles was a key member of the 2016 Patriotic Bowl championship team, playing under head coach Bobby Godinez. Robles now returns to Monterey Park to join Coach Godinez on the sidelines as the offensive line coach.
