Over the past three games - all at home - East LA College women's soccer has struggled against tough competition, having been shut out 18-0 over that span. With the Glendale City College Vaqueros coming into Weingart today, the Huskies had a shot to reverse their fortunes against a team that had only scored three goals in four games.

ELAC (1-3-1) was able to generate much better offensive pressure in this one, but so did Glendale (1-3-1). Despite both teams efforts, they came away with a 1-1 tie. Sophomore Midfielder Isabella Ramos had the Huskies goal at 15' while Gianna Mor had the lone score for GCC late in the 43'.

After the game, Henry Caceras caught up with head coach Jessica Correll to get her thoughts.

"A bit of mixed feelings right now," said Coach Correll. "If we had finished a few of our goals in the first half early on, we wouldn't had struggled as much second half."

Henry then asked if, despite the score, she felt good about the team's improvement in creating scoring chances today.

"100 percent," she replied. "I compare long term - looking at the past couple of years, even looking at the past couple of games, then our opponents we're up against. The mentality that went into today, the preparation went in today, I think carried a huge factor in how we played."
