Floyd Earns SCFA Player of the Week Honors

He's listed as a combo DB/LB, but this past Saturday, DeGabriel Floyd was so much more than that.

Playing in all three phases of offense, defense, and special teams, the sophomore out of Westlake High was absolute gold for the visiting Huskies. He scored a total of four touchdowns on five touches (three rushes and two punt returns) and added five tackles in fueling the East LA College's 45-38 win over the Griffins of Grossmont College. His outstanding performance earned him an All-Purpose SCFA Player of the Week award, the first player to get such a nod under head coach Bobby Godinez's tenure.

"Floyd was electric Saturday," gleamed Coach Godinez. "We always knew he was a special player, and on Saturday he showed out front-and-center".
