Another year, another SCC-North title for East LA Men's Basketball.

With an average margin of victory of33 points per game, the Pack trekked through another conference season unscathed. They are currently ranked eighth in the CCCMBCA State Poll with the following achievements under their belt:

  • 11-4 vs teams over .500
  • Wins vs three reigning Conference Champions,
  • Sixth in state non-conference RPI, and fourth in SoCal (.629)
  • #2 in Massey Poll
  • Top-20 Strength of Schedule

East LA awaits word on their CCCAA playoff seeding, which will be announced sometime this weekend. Playoffs begin on Tuesday, March 1.

Meanwhile, the All SCC-North awards were announced earlier this afternoon. Head Coach John Mosley has been named conference Coach of the Year for the sixth time - he's either won the award outright or shared it since the 2015-16 season. Within that same time span, Coach Mosley has had one of his players named SCC-North Player/co-Player of the Year also for every season since '15-'16. It was a tough choice amongst the bevy of talent the Green has, and this season award goes to...

Cory Cofield. 6'5 Freshman, West Ranch HS.

The bouncy Cofield was the team's third leading scorer (9.2 pts/game) and fourth-best shooter (58.6%) on the team. The springy wing has a nose for working the paint, eluding defenders for high percentage close-range shots and gobbling up offensive boards (2.4/g) for putbacks.

Other Huskies honored:

All SCC-North Second Team
