In no small part due to the success of Last Chance U: Basketball, East LA College Men's Basketball has garnered an international following. This also extends to the program's alumni, some of whom by now are household names like Deshaun Highler and Joe Hampton, two players who were featured prominently in the first season of LCU:Basketball.
