East Los Angeles College sophomore guard Citlaly Davalos has officially signed her scholarship offer to play at Humboldt State University next season.

The 5' 6" product out of Legacy in Sough Gate was not heavily recruited out of high school according to head coach Bruce Turner. However coach says Davalos, "...came to ELAC Basketball and sharpened her skills to earn a full scholarship."

Davalos started 12 our of 20 games played this past season for the Huskies, leading the team in scoring at 14.3 points per game. The guard also flashed ability to facilitate the offense (2.4 assists/game) while executing as a key cog in Turner's pressure defense schemes - she lead the team in steals at 2.5 per game. "Citlaly is an outstanding aggressive scorer, [one] who has the ability to change the game with a few big plays," says Turner.

Humboldt State is the northernmost university within the CSU system, located in Arcata - 280 miles north of San Francisco. The Lumberjacks are a member of the NCAA Division-II's California Collegiate Athletic Association, a conference that includes other CSU's such as Dominguez Hills and Cal State-LA.

ELAC Athletics and its community wishes Ms. Davalos well on the next stop of her athletic and scholastic journey. As Coach Turner says: "Husky for life".
