During the 2019 Fall season, the tough-minded Huskies occasionally found scoring to be at a premium. But when the team did score, you could bet that forward Perla Navarro was the one to find the net. Scoring 11 of the team's 15 goals, Navarro caught the attention of the University of Nebraska-Kearney, and has accepted a transfer offer to join their team for Fall 2020.

Head Coach Tessa Troglia is thrilled that her top goal-scorer is moving on. "Perla Navarro was a huge asset for our 2018-2019 season," says Troglia. "We were very fortunate to have a player of her caliber be on our roster, and I am very confident that she will not only continue to be impactful at Nebraska-Kearney, but a vital piece to their roster."

Presumably, there will be plenty of opportunity for Navarro to shine at Kearney. Her scoring prowess would be a huge boost to the UNK attack - the Lopers only scored five goals last season.

"Her versatility is unparalleled and we wish her nothing but the best in her new endeavors on and off the field," concludes Troglia.
