East LA College Swimming & Diving split a three-team dual with both Mt. San Antonio and Chaffey colleges. The Huskies beat Chaffey 184.00 to 33.00, and lost to Mt. SAC 179.00 to 79.00.

Among highlighted performances, Angelina Coito took first in the women's 100-yd backstroke. She also helped power ELAC to a 2nd-place finish in the women's 200-yd medley relay along with Camila Zacarias, Alina Perez and Jimena Vargas.

Jasmine Huang finished second in three races: the women's 100-yd breastroke behind Mt. SAC's Eden Kennedy, the women's 50-yd freestyle behind Mt. SAC's Genevieve Niko, and the women's 100-yd butterfly.

Alanis Alvarado finished second in the women's 200-yd breastsroke, while Vargas took second in the women's 500-yd freestyle.

Aquatics head coach K.Diana Romero mentioned last week that most of her swimmers are strongest in the breaststroke, a harder swim style.
