Last year, Marbella Flores run to State was the only notable flag-bearer for the East LA College Women's Cross Country team. This year, head coach Milton Browne is looking for a more-balanced effort and a higher team ranking.

If today's result is any indication, they're on their way.

ELAC finished eighth in today's SoCal Preview (initially rescheduled from September 13). Sophomore Kiyoko Divecchio had the best Husky time, finishing 12th overall with a time of 20:40.5.

Coach Browne was pleased with the team's performance. "We beat a few conference teams," he remarked.
